  • Terrific!
This was the BEST gift for our almost-3 year old. He LOVES it and I’m thankful it will serve as a powerful resource for learning about money and numbers and counting in the years to come. Currently he loves to play "Chick-fil-A" and take our orders and tell us how much it costs. We then give him our money (or the debit card) and he puts it in the cash register. This is literally his favorite toy right now and I know it will last a long time because of the high quality. Learning Resources offers such wonderful, educational toys.
  • Perfect Play cash register!
I am a Registered Play Therapist and got this for my play therapy office. It gets used almost every day and is staying in perfect condition. I love that it comes with a credit card and money. Everything works appropriately and is perfect for my office, and my kids at home are jealous that they dont’ have one at our house (don’t tell them, ones coming for Christmas 😉 )
  • Unusal purpose with great results
We needed something for keeping track of money at the snack bar at our middle school dance. Since real cash registers run $80 or more on Anazon, we gave this a shot. The real calculator helped add up oddly priced, large purchases quickly and the real-money sized drawer made it an ideal spot for the cash. I was a bit worried about the color, but the kids all thought the pink was whmsical and fun. The Student Council is considering investing in 1-2 more for the school!
  • This is another great toy by learning resources
This is another great toy by learning resources. I bought this for my daughter when she was 2. Now 3 she still plays with it daily. She loves punching the numbers in, but her favorite part is the open button that ejects the spring loaded drawer. I put the coins away until she is older, because I fear she will choke on them. She loves the paper money and the pretend credit card. I can see her and my son playing with this toy for at least 10 more years. It is very durable. She has dropped it many times and it hasn’t skipped a beat. The plastic is high quality. I would definitely buy this product again.

Note there is another one that looks exactly the same but it has a scale by the same company.

  • Nice toy
This is one of the better pretend registers that I have seen. My nephew really enjoyed it for his fifth birthday. The money looks like real American dollars and the coins are the appropriate size and color for the money that they represent.

I think it gives a good handle on mathematics as it applies to life. The built-in calculator is nice for many reasons. It’s not just a pretend machine with fake sound effects, like what would be appropriate for a younger child, it functions as a calculator as well.

The product seemed well-made and the colors are good for either gender.

I would definitely suggest this for any child interested in money, mathematics or counting, or playing pretend at the grocery store.

  • Cash register for learning
Purchased for our granddaughter. She is nine years old but is struggling to learn. We wanted something fun that would keep her interested plus help her to learn as well. It is a nicely made cash register. The money looks like the real money so that is helpful. The cash register is a calculator too. Our granddaughter likes that but I would rather she try to add in her head. That is something we are trying to teach her to do. I had read in the reviews that the drawer comes out rather fast. It does. But since I knew about it previous to purchasing I let our granddaughter know in advance and so we don’t have any problems.
  • A Must Have!
Our son saw this in one the preschools we visited and really wanted one! I was so happy to find it on Amazon. he got right into it and loves to say " my friends all call me calculator *** ( I left his name out).
It is a great learning tool for all sorts of pretend play and practical application. Money makes begins to mean something real to a 4 year old, and it is just great as a teaching math tool as well if your child wants to know more . This cash register is also very very sturdy and really does take a lot of use .
  • Basic, but perfect!
I really like this cash register. My daughter had been wanting one for a long time so I searched out many options and some were super fancy with many different functions, but I love the simplicity of this. My daughter doesn’t yet understand the differences in currency so this will be a toy we can grow with, but she has learned that items cost money and has practiced counting and identifying numbers. She has it set up near her play kitchen for playing restaurant and she loves the credit card that comes with it.
  • Great Toy For Pretend And Math Learning
This was one of two toys given as a set to our youngest for her third birthday — the other was a shopping cart. Her and my son have had a great time with these toys. Though this is not the most attractive looking cash register on the market, it works WELL. It comes with a credit card and with fake money that look real. The door opens nicely when the Open button is pushed. The cash register calculator works. My son, who is 6, enjoys using the calculator to play with for numbers. He’ll often add large numbers together just to see the results when they playing shopping together.

It also came with a pad of paper which my children went through in about two days. Not sure why they included the pad of paper which was mostly useless.

Either way, this toy has been a pleasure for me. The children play with it gently too, which is a rarity for toys in our house.

  • Buy this!
My two and four year old love this! The play money is kind of irritating because it never seems to stay with the register, but his is a great tool to teach social interactions and math. It’s well built and seems like it will last awhile.
